I also tend to suspect a mismatch with host distro/version (gcc?).
Joel, can you confirm which distro you're using? From I read here[1], it seems
that the 'machine name' is 'fedora' (is it the builder name, or is it really a
fedora? and if so, which version?)

It completes without error. Same sequence in build triggers `Inconsistency

Seems srec_cat version installed as part of
meta-rcar-gen3/recipes-bsp/u-boot/u-boot_2020.01.bb recipe is not
compatible with Ubuntu 20.
While Ubuntu 20.04 is supported by poky's dunfell branch, I suspect there
may not be a lot of people building AGL on it, so some of the BSP layers
may shake out issues like these. I tend to stick to Debian for my
containers for builds, and have not had any issues with the dunfell rcar3
BSP on Debian 9 or 10.
