Re: [WIP] weston 6.0.0 sandbox

Hi,

I'd also like to point out that there are currently no 6.0 release of NXP's weston fork for i.MX SoCs. Only 5.0 [1] is available at the moment, and is packaged in NXP's official BSP. meta-freescale seems to lag behind a bit (they have Weston 4.0, but getting to 5.0 should be possible). I am not sure how would i.MX 6 boards work with Poky's mainline weston.

Best regards,
Théo Bueno.

Hi all,

IMO, it may not be a good idea to switch to weston6 just before HH release (or
at least HH branching).

As we're making some efforts to fix issues with current M3/H3 BSP 3.15 (that
officially supports weston5), we're not willing to fix other potential bugs
coming with weston6 just before the release.

What about keeping that in a sandbox until HH release and more testing is done?
People requiring weston6 can still build the sandbox.

Best regards,
