AGL Funky Flounder RC4 v5.99.4 Release Candidate Available

Hi eyeryone !

The Release Candidate 4 of Funky Flounder
is now available on the master branch in git as tag flounder_5.99.4.
Release notes, information on downloading the source code, prebuilt binaries, or setting up git can be found at [1].

The goal of the RC4 is to fix instabilities and update the documentation. As there were a few more bugs reported on tuesday, *we will do an RC5* over the weekend for testing on monday.


New Features included in the Funky Flounder release candidate include:
  * UCB updated to use Yocto Project version 2.4 (rocko)
  * Device profiles now available for telematics and instrument cluster
  * Core AGL Service layer can be built stand-alone

  * App Framework improvements
     * API v3 introduced         * Dynamic API creation
        * Service Binder discovery
* Improved Monitoring via HTML5 of Service Binders allows multiple binders to monitored
     *  SDK Improvements
        * XDS support for applications

* Wide range of hardware board support including Renesas, Qualcomm Technologies, Intel, Texas Instrument, NXP, and Raspberry Pi
  * Apps improvements
* App Repository available at https://download.automotivelinux.org/AGL/apps/master/ (for RC2)
     * Updated Reference applications including media player, tuner,
navigation, web browser, Bluetooth, WiFi, HVAC control, audio mixer and vehicle controls
     *  Application Framework Binder APIs added for phone book, navigation,
       network
* High Level Audio API Service Binder available via AGL Advanced Audio Agent (4a) to simplify app development
  * Vehicle Messaging and Signaling Improvements
     * Improved performance      * Dynamic signal creation

Known bugs:
- 4a needs manual intervention on some platforms.
- The prebuilt images are with 4a enabled.
- Occasional crashes of homescreen (partially fixed already)

For upcoming releases candidates any "must-fix" bug needs to be tagged with the "FF-must-fix" label in Jira. If there is a defect you think should be considered a must fix for an upcoming patch release either

a) Create change on the master branch in gerrit.
b) Indicate a change is required for Flounder in Jira.

Please create a JIRA  and assign it to Jan-Simon Moeller for consideration.
