CentOS 5.x doesn't understand vers=4 but does understand fstype=nfs4. Other OSs don't understand fstype. I'm digging through all the suggestions made on the list so far later today and will report back, but it is starting to seem like the correct "fix" for this might be to just upgrade all the CentOS 5.x boxes...but that's a huge task for us. I'm not sure how many we have, but it's a lot.
