:) correct. the PDC20378 can have either SATA drives or PATA drives. My
SATA drive is on the ICH5 controller not on the fake raid. 

I was passed to this list from the RH list and the fedora list ... is
there a libata list :)

I am configuring the patched 2.6.15rc1 kernel now, I am hoping the patch
to the libata driver will do it.
