Have you been able to solve your problem dated 04/17/02 see: https://listman.redhat.com/pipermail/ataraid-list/2002-April/000681.html I am having intermittent system hangs with this drive and have some of the same geometry questions you do. I am repairing a 4 year old system for a customer who has had this hanging problem from the start, yet didn't return it for service under warn.. Now the problem is beginning to occur more frequently and wants to see if I can fix it. Write if you need more info, working on it for days, can't make it occur although it appears sometimes to have to do with the disk drive.
