Promise 20276

I'm trying to get this working with Debian Linux 3.0.  i compilied kernel 
2.4.19 myself, because the HD's do not even get seen in 2.4.18
There is no option to select ataraid as a kernel option in 2.4.19  If I 
don't select any of the promise options in the kernel I just see the two 
drives independently, but if I select the promise features I don't even see 
the drives...  either way I can not access /dev/ataraid
