Hi everybody, i asked for help by installing redhat 7.2 on asus a7v133. I have read murtys howto, but the i cant boot from my /dev/sda1 partition. Can someone tell me why ??? I get always the error message VFS: Cannot open boot device "801" or 08:01 Please append a correct "root=" boot option Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 08:01 What is the problem ?? Should i add the append line in /etc/lilo.conf ?? I also tried using dos fdisk instead of linux fdisk. Also i tried using lilo.2.2.3.. but nothing helps. Please i worked now for over one week on this problem. Thanx Stefan
