It's true that the Highpoint driver is not really OpenSource, but they
refer to it as their Open Source driver so in this way people will be
able to actually FIND it if they need it...

yep your right.. the linux drivers only work for striping raid... to
bad, 
they are working on mirror raid though... not sure what the status 
is. btw, youre mistaken about the opensourceness of the highpoint 
drivers... i read the source, and it's just a empty frame calling some 
functions in a 'closed source' library. But well: if it works it works:)
