Hallo everybody, I use SUSE 8.0 with a Promise Fasttrak TX2 Controller with ataraid and pdcraid and two 80GB drives in a RAID 1 Array. I works, but there a serveral problems. First a question: where can I get the state of the array or a notice if a drive fails? Is there something like cat /proc/mdstat (softraid)?? Well the array works, but if I get a drive failed (put out the power) then The system hangs and there is no reaktion anymore. Then the next situation. If i turn out the first or the mirror and wants to start with the second drive the system stopped with a kernnel panic-message. Should I take softraid instead of the ataraid. Can someone help me ??
