I'm confused as to what you are doing. The driver on Promise's website is a driver disk. You should just put all the file on a floppy. Start the installation cdrom with "linux dd". Insert the driver disk when the installer asks for it. PS- The error messages indicate that you need to load the scsi driver before loading the ft driver.
