AW: HPT370 & debian

Well I think I figured it out.
the lost interrupt problem:
 - only caused with 1 of my 5 pci slots..
so I left this one empty and it worked.
The kernel options are nearly the same, except smp support enabled.
(I only checked the hpt-options since I haven't got a promise raid
controller)

I also don't need the hpt37x2.o kernel module...
(may be cause I'm not directly booting on a raid partition)

It would be good if you could re-create or re-trace your steps: it
would be
helpful to others who may follow in your path. Beyond "follow the
directions
in the manual" I feel a little inadequate though I have gotten the HPT
to
work with both RH and SuSE. Congrats. Richard
