Promise Fasttrack: lost interrupt.

Two weeks ago I finally got a Promise Fasttrack TX2 PCI-card. I bought this controller so I could have hardware RAID1 under Linux. Yes, I've read part of the archive and by now I know it's not a hardware RAID controller - bummer... I've also read the current ataraid implementation doesn't support the mirroring I was looking for - bummer #2...

Now I've done a couple of kernel compile attempts to be able to use some sort of raid through this controller anyway (ataraid, but I want mirroring, so I've tried md raid1 too). Now it seems that whenever I start to access the discs in a more intense manner (mkfs for example) I am getting lost interrupt errors under kernel version 2.4.18.

The exact error I am getting now, when trying to mkfs a raid1 md device, is:
 ide_dmaproc: chipset supported ide_dma_lostirq func only: 13
 hdf: lost interrupt
 ide_dmaproc: chipset supported ide_dma_lostirq func only: 13
 hdg: lost interrupt
 ide_dmaproc: chipset supported ide_dma_lostirq func only: 13
 hdf: lost interrupt
 ide_dmaproc: chipset supported ide_dma_lostirq func only: 13
 hdg: lost interrupt

Any clue what I might be doing wrong?
