Yes, but they work with own drivers. Not kernel ata-raid driver...
3ware have driver in scsi section, and adaptec & Supertrac are i2o based
cards.

No, but kernel ata-raid section is pure sw-raid. This mailing list shoud
cover ata-raid sw-raid. 3ware & Supertrac & adaptec have diffrent list...
