 I have to build a server with the following configuration:
Athlon slot A 550 Mhz
Matherboard Asus K7V ( Bus Ide 66) (chipset VIA KX133 - VT8371)
A CD-Rom installed as slave on primary ide channel (VIA chipset)
An external raid card Promise Fasttrack 100 TX2 ( Chipset Promise 20270 Rev.
2.0 )
Two ethernet card 10/100

I have istalled the version 7.2 of RED HAT.

I have defined the raid1 inside of promise boot utility ( fastbuild Utility
1.32) with two Hard disk Maxtor 20Gb ATA100 7200RPM.
I have one disk for channel.

The red hat installation find the promise card

I'm no able to have from booting only one device ( two hard disk mirrored).
The fun think is that I'm able to make the software raid between the two
hard disk "hde" and "hdf".
I don't want to imagine what's happen if I test this solution.
The promise software
FastTrak Series Linux Driver Version 1.2.0.9
Installation Note for Redhat Linux [07/04/2001]
used during installation don't work...
the pcitable looklike correct:

Conclusion....
How to build an array disk level 1 with pci card promise fasttrack 100 tx2
on linux?????
