Re: RAID 0 reports errors

Well, I'm using a third drive where redhat7.2 with 2.4.16 is installed to
build a linux-of-my-own on the RAID 0 array(with the first partition as
windows XP). Well... when booting on this "spare" drive, I noticed exactly
the same thing than you: the first drive of the array (hde in my case) has
some troubles that slows down the system in a terribly manner. You can
verify it after somewhere in the /proc filesystem, you have a pdc20xxx
file(probably a HTPxxx in your case) that releaved what you said, the first
drive is not "optimised"(DMA is disabled for instance) but the second drive
is ok.
I'm not yet in Kernel Hacking to fix all of that, hopefully somebody with
this power will hear our cries and tears.

No worries, it's my home system... meant to suffer.
