that was not the interesting symptom though, which i was
suggesting to discover - i know how to replicate the same crash
- from a distro maintainer's perspective, the interesting
symptom to demonstrate, would be to uninstall pamac and all
packages ever installed via pamac, to determine if the bug is
present in any arch package

even if it is not an arch bug, the process of re-installing
pamac afterward, then re-installing packages with pamac
one-=by-one, could isolate the root of the problem

if your mirrors are out-of-sync, then that would need to be
fixed and the system updated, before beginning to address or
even to discuss the bug
