Only thing I'd suggest is keeping pavucontrol and pipewire-pulse installed
and making sure things make noise with them.

pavucontrol seems to be the only sane way to manage audio devices now.

I use the flatpak version of Teams and there's no device options in the
interface itself (like the web version in general) so it seems to rely on your
default devices in pulse.

I'm not even sure why pipewire exists, another layer on top of the hot mess
that is Linux audio.
