By using mailing lists and forum messaging to spread the fake 'unsubscribe' links, it avoids the typical channels for inclusion in blacklists, as reporting the email as spam falsely identifies the mailing list domain as the culprit. Flipmailer.com appears to have been used in email harvesting since at least 2013 yet is not listed by Spamhaus. Very clever.
