Thanks Eric, good to know.But I think the OP should first re-run the installer, to see if it fails again or if this was some fluke.
Now, in case if fails again, do you know if there should be anywhere a trace of the reason ? I install Apache fairly often under Windows, and I don't remember having it fail for me before, so I never had to look for this.
