The default PHP 5.1.4 Apache 2 handler is for Apache 2.0.xx series. I have gotten php 5.1.4 to run with Apache 2.2.2 using the PHP 5.1.4 Apache 2.2.x handler and Apache 2.2.x build from Apache Lounge. www.apachelounge.com.
