If that were the case, I do not think the apachectl execution would even have gotten as far as line 99. Furthermore I hardly think "Illegal instruction" is a shell script error. It may however very well be an error issued by the VlApache20_32 module.

the files with something funny - you're not editing the config on a windows PC with Notepad and then FTPing it to Linux, are you? Or editing with StarOffice? Or some other odd thing...?]
