I found a comment in a bugzilla thread here: http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/httpd-bugs/200305.mbox/%3C20030526145359.8421.qmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx%3E That is the only reference I have found, though. We have the same problem with Apache restarting its self but it's much more profound on our system. It will happen anywhere between 2 and 8 times a day. Everything seems normal in the logs are we are pretty much at a loss. For the past month or so, I have been switching out hardware and making sure that the infrastructure is sound but have yet to find anything that would cause the host to stop servicing requests. I'm getting real close to dumping Apache all together and trying to find an alternative. :( Thomas --------------------------------------------------------------------- The official User-To-User support forum of the Apache HTTP Server Project.
