When I use modprobe snd-hda-intel model=auto I get playback: PCM, front(controls headphones), side(controls internal speaker), center, lfe, internal mic, mic, ... capture: 3x Capture The Microphone (Internal, or external if connected) works when I unmute the first capture channel and set its input source to Front Mic. Sometimes the center channel controls the speaker at the bottom of the laptop, sometimes it doesnt, seems kind of random. When I do not pass any model option I cannot record any sound from the microphone. I tried all three capture channels and all input sources. The first capture channel has static noise on it, the other two are just silent. With models auto, 6stack and lg I can record sound by raising the first capture volume and selecting front mic.
