What I don't get is that AA was flying to LGB, presumably successfully, before B6 even existed. The DFW flights were all the needed and 4 a day was plenty. They got into this pissing match with B6, lost and now want to do the same with WN at DAL. AA is operating 5 flights a day from LGB. Yet, they admit that it's a lower performing market. Then why they hell are they operating 5 flights a day? Try 2 or 3. LGB is a great airport to fly out of - easy parking, little congestion, etc. I think the problem is that AA didn't advertise the flight they were flying out of LGB. They just wanted to make sure JetBlue didn't have the slots.
