That's one way of looking at it. The other is that they saw themselves
losing money on a line and quickly acted to staunch the flow. However, this
is all hypothetical -- I haven't seen anyone come up with anything that
sounds that an authoritative answer for B6's action, just a lot of
speculation.

My personal opinion is that JetBlue has overextended itself.  It is growing
too big too fast.
