The phone agents=20 could skim cards, but the trail would lead directly back to them=20 individually and I assume that there were some safeguards in place. And=20= likely more than the safeguards currently in place at some of the=20 offshore call centers. These days, if you're going to sell card numbers, you generally have to=20= do it by the hundreds. And computers also make it easier for the good=20 guys to trace back where cards are being skimmed from.
