AIRLINE:

I recall when I was at America West, the 'Ops'
position had the responsibility of the weight and
balance and if things went wrong, it was reported that
they were legally responsible. But in the Halifax
case, yesterday's reports speak about an explosion
once the plane was airborne, or what that poor
reporting on the CBC's and CNN's part?

Also, when working for ATA, my boss said (and I
believe) that they know and do a lot. The airport
wouldn't move without them. (considering snow plowing,
borrowing of equipment, etc.) And they didn't get
much for pay and no flight priviledges. Too bad.
