The US' figth of war is a joke.. The security is even a more pathetic joke. TSA and and a like even a better joke. Yesterday at ORD I had to call a supervisor on a TSA guy who was yelling orders like a drill sergeant. He tapped this African American guy and told him peer to put him under scrutiny because he didn't have his boarding pass with him. (The poor guy put it in his bag which went through X ray machine). While we are taking off our shoes, I saw an Astro van with a huge covered trailer driving to the pax drop off area in SEA. Can you imagine how much of a damage can that inflict at an airport? I said this many more times before, we are also not screening luggage, people and bags coming into the terminals. Can you imagine what would happened if 5 terrorists walked into a terminal with 3 suitcases in a packed day? Yeah, I will remove my shoes.. BAHA Not a fan of dumb arses coming up with stupid rules in the name of security. -----Original Message----- From: The Airline List [mailto:AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Gerard M Foley Sent: Monday, August 23, 2004 5:52 AM To: AIRLINE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Defending Our Skies Against the Elderly > > People should be > > treated with respect." I do not expect anyone to tell me what the war is about - it is past explanation. I am grateful that at 88 I can deal with screeners pretty well. In general the choice of random victims seems based on the likelihood that the individual is physically capable of making much of a fuss. Is that profiling?
