You go Grant! I agree... both Airbus and Boeing make a quality product. Neither is going away any time soon. Airbus is going to fill the very large capacity, long-haul aircraft market need (yes, there is one) and Boeing is going to fill the sustained capacity, "shorter-haul," more economic aircraft market. This Airbus vs Boeing thing is OLD. It has been for a long time. Different strokes for different people. Some people like Airbus, some like Boeing. So what? As an aviation enthusiast, I'm glad there's more than one company. It makes the scenery at the airport more interesting, and flying in different planes more exciting. Both are good companies, both have great aircraft, both win huge contracts. An aircraft made 40 years ago by one company is stronger than a plane made now by another company? Subjective at best as it's never been proven. Either way, it's irrelevant as it's still an opinion. Facts I said, David, not more of the same. It would be great if you could argue with your intellect instead of your emotions. After Sept 11, I posted an email nailing my colours very firmly to the US mast. I stand by that email but jeez, I find this Airbus v Boeing crap really childish. Both companies make safe, reliable, high quality machines. They wouldn't still be in business if they didn't Grant SYD QF
