AC's RJ Order - Mr. RJ Responds....

OK, some questions and some answers......

AC's order is for 45 Embraer 190s (The correct term is Embraer 190,
they feel that the 170/190 are not regional jets and therefore do not
refer to them as EMB170/190s or ERJ160/190s)

The Embraer 190s are going to the mainline fleet.

On the CRJ200s they will receive 15 of them. Currently. they are
destined for the Jazz fleet.

On the CRJ705s they will receive 30 of them. These are to be put
into mainline service. Upon their entry, it is likely that the CRJ100s
in the mainline fleet will be transferred to the Jazz fleet.

The difference between the CRJ700 and CRJ705?
Well, actually it is between the CRJ701 and the CRJ705...
Bombardier has renamed the base model 700 to the 701....

So, the differece is:
CRJ701 - 64 to 70 passengers in one class configuration
CRJ705 - 75 passengers in a two class configuration

Both the 717 and the A318 were in the running for the order.

Any further questions?
