To the Philadelphia market, Southwest becomes an instant saviour after decades of paying through the nose for expensive and indifferent service from US Airways and the other big boys. Mention Southwest and you immediately think of affordable and reliable transportation. WN wins! As far as JBLU getting "forced out" of ATL...they didn't. What happened is they realized no one was going to make money with excess capacity and wisely picked up their marbles and left the game. Leaving a market today does not carry the same stigma as it did in the past. JBLU is simply smarter for cutting losses sooner than later! Smart. >> Remember, there have been university studies on the "Southwest Effect." Not only does WN make more money in new markets, traffic goes up for everyone in general. Everyone, especially people in PHL, wins. You are right about B6. They realize the advantage DL and FL have operating into LAX and also the effect of DL's now 19 flights a day into the LA area. I am sure FL will increase their flights once the 737s come. And I bet some of those will be converted 738 orders. Meanwhile, B6 is jumping in the large LAX-BOS market that has been cut way down recently (DL dropped it and AA and UA were only doing 3 or so a day). Even with HP (only using small A319s), the market is still under-served and in need of lower fares. Welcome B6
