Rebecca, you did not read the question. The question was what would =
happen
on a through ticket. If CO issued a ticket to Sydney then it's CO's
responsibility to get the passenger to Sydney. If CO endorsed the =
ticket
over to AA, then it's AA's responsibility to get the passenger to =
Sydney.

Continental sold you a ticket to LAX. All they have to do is get you =
=3D
there. They have absolutely no liability for anything else. If they =
rebook
you =3D on American, then American has the liability once Continental =
endorses
the ticket. But American would still only have to get you to LAX. This =
has
happened to our clients on numerous occasions and is one of the reasons =
=3D
why code shares and alliances are useful for more than just shared =
frequent
flyer credits.=3D20

If you bought a thru tkt from Continental routed say CLE LAX on CO and =
=3D
LAX SYD on QF. If CO was delayed or cxld and you missed the =3D
connection.....what would be CO's liability if any these days? Even more
what if CO cxld the originating flight and rebooked you say AA via ORD =
to
LAX and you missed =3D the connection....would CO be responsible always =
or
?Just curious what the carriers are doing these days-they seem to be
weaseling out of any costs =3D or responsibilities. Dennis
