The thing here is that there is not a market that can be as profitably served
with the A318 as the A319.  Anything that needs more frequency/less seats per
flight, does not need the range of the A318.  The 717, E190, and, to a lesser
extent the CRJ900 have all the range and speed they need, all using much less
kerosene
