 From Statistics Canada:

Tonnes of cargo

Vancouver 4,936 out, 3,719 in
Toronto 6,936 out, 9,302 in
Mirabel 2,689 out, 3,257 in

Dorval , Hamilton, Calgary barely register.

For Mirabel exports, after the US (24%), a further 25% was to Britain,
17% to Switzerland.
For Vancouver exports, after the US (21%), Japan and Hong Kong are the
#2 and #3 destinations.
For Toronto exports, the US consumed (31%) , it's all over the place.

(Of note, by value, it was 40%, 40% and 57% respectively.)

The Mirabel/Dorval is a North American example of combi's not working.
Mirabel took 20 times the freight. All of Dorval's cargo traffic was to
or from the US. I'll betcha dollars to doughnuts that there are no 744
combi's operating out of Dorval.

Just my opinions...
