AF has been opperating their Concordes on weight restrictions since the new
mods.  BA redid the interiors, making them light enough to counter the new
weight.      Also, remember that the plane crashed one time in nearly 30 years in
the air.  The Concorde did make money when they were pushing the 2 flights a
day and chartering out the rest.  In fact, the Concorde that crashed was flying
a charter, I believe.  I don't think that Concorde is any less safe than any
other plane in the sky, just limited by its size and the failure to follow
through with evolutions of the program.  I really  hope the name lives on in what
ever SST we get next.  It just sounds perfect
