I would consider jets of today real planes, and can tell many apart. It is the ones that you can instantly tell in fact that either look great or ugly. Example: The A320 family, especially the A319, look like the short, stubby fat kid I used to be. A318 will be worse. 757 is beautiful in its slender profile. L1011 looks as graceful as it flies, while MD-11 is a beautiful big gay bird (inside joke). I like the raked devices on 764, but there is nothing like 744 for shear beauty.
