I drive a 94 Town Car. To me it's like the 727. The 727 for it's day and mission was a fantastic aircraft. Technology has passed it by and made it expendable. One point overlooked in your discussion is the acquisition cost today. An outfit I flew part time for was quite a while back considering a long range corporate modified B727 and A Falcon 50. The 727 was at that time a million dollars less than Falcon50. Chief Pilot said you can buy an awful lot of fuel for a million dollars. The decison came down to the Falcon because they couldn't find a hangar big enough on their Alaska trips (frequent) to keep the aircraft in overnight.
