Winnipeg Airports Authority Welcomes United Express with New Twice Daily non-stop Jet Service to Chicago WINNIPEG, April 10 /CNW/ - Winnipeg Airports Authority Inc. today announced that United Express will commence new twice daily non-stop jet service between Winnipeg and Chicago, Illinois effective June 12, 2003. Flights will be operated by United Express, regional partner of United Airlines, and will provide direct access into midwestern United States. Barry Rempel, President & CEO said, "WAA is very proud of the support United Airlines has received from Winnipeg since service was launched to Denver last fall and we are truly excited that United is now doubling the number of their flights to and from Winnipeg by adding service to Chicago. Direct access to United's primary hub in Chicago will offer Winnipeg travellers more choice and more connections for leisure and business travel." Introductory fares must be purchased 14 days in advance, with a first travel date of June 12th, 2003 and with all travel completed by Aug. 31, 2003. A Saturday night stay is required. Service to and from Chicago may be on Air Wisconsin and/or Air Canada.
