Thanks you guys. Actually I called American and asked them. The woman I talked to said that if she qualifies for the new fair, they would not refund any money but rather send a voucher for future travel.

It's a Crapshoot.....Yes, they will refund the
difference IF it is more than the $100 change fee
(most airlines).......

So, you are screwed if it is less than $100
difference...
