Long overdue. Not sure on the mechanics; but with strong autoland capabilities in most commercial jets, a bit of cross-wind is no big deal. Atlanta runs a very busy but efficient show consuming quite a bit less real-estate that O'Hare. The neighbours who live next to O'Hare might be a bit upset though. 27/9RL get a bit of use today, but in a few years, if it is built, they will get ALL of the traffic.
