Remember the US Air incident in Califoria? A pilot bypassed security (as was permitted then), boarded a US Air flight, shot and killed the pilot and co-pilot while it was in the air, and the plane crashed. I'm not sure I like the idea of anyone, pilot, air marshall, or even Helen Hayes, carrying a gun on board. What to do about a terrorist or other wacko on board? I'm not sure.
