That's odd; "eat your knees for lunch" would seem to be about leg-room,
which is completely up to the carrier. United should be able to have the
exact same "pitch" on their 757s, their 737s, and their 320s, if they so
choose.

Now, if you want to claim a small advantage on shoulder room ("Very nice
not to have your neighbor halfway in your lap like on a 737/757") many of
us would recognize that as a result of Airbus's slightly wider narrow-body
cabin. :-)

I actually like 757s as well as any narrow-body. I love the 757's #2 door,
just ahead of the wing, which is often used for boarding and disembarking.
That's much nicer than everyone shuffling to the front of the plane to go
out the #1 door. The mid-cabin lavatory next to the #2 door helps, too. I
haven't been on a 738, 739, or 321 with a mid-cabin lav; that would
probably help those, too.
