NEW YORK, Sept 6 (Reuters) - US Airways Group Inc. (UAWGQ) said on Friday=
it would allow customers with nonrefundable tickets to stand by for othe=
r flights for a $100 fee, matching the policy of rival American Airlines,=
 the AMR Corp. (AMR) subsidiary.

Previously, US Airways, did not let customers with nonrefundable tickets,=
which are generally cheaper and do not allow for travel flexibility, fly=
standby. Customers with refundable tickets can fly standby without payin=
g additional charges.

US Airways, the No. 6 U.S. airline, also said customers with nonrefundabl=
e tickets will be able to count miles flown with those tickets towards pr=
emium levels in their frequent flyer accounts. The airline had canceled t=
hat practice, drawing criticism from business travelers. =
