US Airways, CWA reach tentative deal on concessions = = Friday September 6, 12:51 PM EDT = WASHINGTON, Sept 6 (Reuters) - US Airways Group Inc (UAWGQ) and the union= representing 7,000 ticketing and reservations agents at the carrier reac= hed a tentative deal on Friday on a concession package to help the airlin= e through bankruptcy. Neither the airline nor the union, the Communications Workers of America,= would say how much the deal is worth to the company, which wants to cut = costs by $1.3 billion a year as part of its plan to reorganize and obtain= a federal loan guarantee. The deal leaves the airline's mechanics' union as the only group of emplo= yees yet to strike a package of givebacks. The company was meeting with t= he International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers on Frida= y in an attempt to renegotiate their contract. It was the first formal meeting between the two sides since mechanics rej= ected a $150 million concession package last week. The carrier's pilots a= nd flight attendants have agreed to more than $500 million in annual give= backs. = =A92002 Reuters Limited. = Roger EWROPS
