Well (and that's a deep subject), my four hour shift as a DFW Ambassador today was a target rich environment, with regards to good looking femme fatales and celebs. I met a tall and good looking lady in her 30's from England (Nottingham to be exact), as she was in DFW for a layover before heading back to England via Newark NJ. She had just finished a long stretch of flight from Lima, Peru, where she spent some time on vacation. I also ran into a Moslem woman, originally from Nigeria (having lived the last 14 years in the states). I gave her a reason to "vent" some frustration at how she was handled by screeners in Baltimore's airport. She understands the need for security, but she felt that she was singled out because of her Moslem last name. Me thinks there could have been some truth to problems she might have with "profiling", which unfortunately is necessary in the post 9.11 times. I also met one of my favorite Country & Western singers, that being Charlie Pride. I met him in the main concourse near gate A9. I almost passed him without realizing who he was. He probably wanted anonymity. I shook his hand 15 years ago, when I met him at a bi-district high school playoff game, when his sons were playing for Dallas Jesuit High School. My old alma mater (Arlington High School) was Jesuit's opponent, and we won. On that night, he seemed rather cold, but the more I think back about it, the fact his sons were participating in a losing effort might have had something to do with it. My station for the four hour stint was near gate A-9. They couldn't have asked me to work at a better observation area. I had good looking flight attendants (women <grin>) and women travelers, a celebrity to say hello to, and a great viewing point for watching the aircraft taxi across Zulu bridge. Hope everyone had a great day? Richard
