Governors propose to name EWR “Liberty Int’l” New Jersey Gov. James McGreevey and New York Gov. George Pataki said Wednesday that they want to change the name of CO’s Newark hub to Liberty International Airport, in honor of the Sept. 11 victims. The governors said they will propose the name change to the directors of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which runs Newark, LaGuardia and JFK. The Associated Press reported that the proposal is likely to be approved, since directors of the Port Authority are appointed by the governors. Roger EWROPS
