Flew NW 35/34 a few times SFO-BOS-GLA (direct service... and with a plane change) 2 out of the 4 times we made a fuel stop in YYR (Goose Bay) on the inbound crossing... Thought the range on a DC10-30/40 made it across the atlantic (gla-bos). In 1991 the bos-gla flight was under 5 hrs...love those tailwinds.....
