Northwest are due to take their first 330 in May 2003. With regard to the tens, I was a regular on Glasgow Scotland -Boston on NW35, which was always operated by DC10-40s, between 1990 and 1994. It was 1991 or 1992 I think before NW bought their first second hand DC10-30. By 2001, only the series 30s were operating transatlantic, you could see as many as ten during the day at Amsterdam before 9/11. I don't think there are any significant range issues between the -30 and the -40, other than a few -30s which are ex-Swissair and are high gross weight versions, once known as DC10-30ERs. They might be old, but still better than a Continental or BA 757 across the pond! Jim
