I have friends in Boston, 2 couples whose husbands work for Delta (all in
their late 50s) and over 20 years working for the airline. Recently flew out
west and were pulled aside for full baggage and then carryon inspections
(random?) on all 4 flights they took. Their feelings are that airline staff
are not permitted to complain about anything so the carriers are using them
to fill their quota of random extra security harassment. Seems probably eh?
